Partnership of Pinterest and Apple make the users to download iOS apps directly from pinterest mobile app. Pinterest is trying to make its visual social network, an app download destination.

Within iOS app 'add pins' will be visible, this is an iOS exclusive and will allow users to pin their favourite apps, and download apps for an iPad or iPhone without leaving Pinterest app.
Comany said that around 70 million monthly users comes from mobile devices. Apple has opened an "App Store" account on Pinterest to showcase the apps.

Pinterest is monetizing through this tie-up with Apple, which shows that it is expanding and focusing into other media. Promoted pins are the source of revenue and app pins.
Pinterest doesn't enjoy the profit like Facebook App and Twitter App are earning but this tie up will going to help it and it could become an acquisition channel for developers.
