Vaio's First Smartphone Is Launched, Priced - $420

Vaio Corporation is launching it's first Smartphone in Japan in collaboration with one of the country's smaller carriers, b-mobile, on March 20th. Rumors were already there, they have put their best brains on the flagship laptop series because there is not much to scream and shout about its first smartphone.

The smartphone is humble looking mid ranger, not so affordable price tag and does not come with a true show shopping feature. It has glass back and shares similar design and specifications as the Panasonic Eluga U2 which was revealed last month in Taiwan. It has single micro SIM support and 4G connectivity.

Pricing - 51,000 yen (US$ 420 / Rs. 26,326)

It will also be available with 2 - year contract from the carrier. If we compared the VAIO Smartphone with the Panasonic Eluga U2 which costs US $ 254 / Rs. 15,700 approx, it seems pretty costly, even though both have same specs and looks the spitting image.
