Future Tech/Gadgets
Some new appealing gadgets and techs are on the way to surprise us. These are amazing and it will be difficult for you to decide which one is more good for you. They seems to look a bit sophisticated but still you want to try them out once. Lets explore them out.
Logbar Ring
I think you have heard about it, "One Gesture, One Magic". This device is great to have, its made up of the materials which will not cause any problem while connecting with your smartphones. It has micro vibrator, 6-axis, acceleration angular speed, touch sensor, EEPROM memory, built-in wireless device firmware update system, lithium-polymer 3.7 volt battery which will give you option of using the device continuously for about one to three days.
The standby time of the Ring's battery is approx 18 days, with the charging time to fully charge the device at about three hours. It comes with some additional features like closing curtains, turning on TV sets and switching lights on and off by waving fingers. It comes in four sizes and has a transmission range of about five meters.
LED Lasers Headlights
This technology will become popular now, as companies are replacing the regular headlights with them. They are brighter and safe to view but at present they are not legal in USA. Audi is going to use this technology in its upcoming 2016 Audi R8. It will have set of LED diode based headlights which place 37 separate LED diodes in each headlight unit.
The laser light is blue, but after running the blue laser beam through a phosphorous based filter substrate, does the blue light become white. BMW already introduced this technology but its not so popular yet. These laser headlights have the potential to boost high beam range up to 650 yards and beyond. These headlights can highlight obstacles on the side of the road that you couldn't see before.
The two companies Apple and Google have announced the new in-car systems which are going to come in 2016. CarPlay by Apple and Android Auto by Google, these are programs intended to coordinate with Smartphone apps used in cars. For this Google has tied up with Hyundai Sonata to get built in Android Auto.
In 2016, both the software s will be installed in cars is yet to be announced. These systems once plugged in to car's USB port, will convert the screen to resemble a Smartphone. The user will be able to play a music library, log on to the music apps with a touch, send and receive text messages by voice, call up Apple and Google Maps for navigation. No additional cost included for using these devices in your car. Moreover if anything goes wrong with the system on the software end, Apple and Google will be responsible for the device under warranty condition.
Many manufacturers are ready to roll out Apple and Android car systems. These systems can cause distractions to drivers but for this Google has put a number of restrictions on Android Auto. There will be five panes in Android Auto - Navigation with Google Maps, Phone dial-er, Information, Media and Music to play and Diagnostic Pane.
Right now Carplay users have to plug devices into a USB port in the vehicle by a cable to gain in dash control of their Smartphones but later on Apple cuts the cord on CarPlay, iOS users will be able to get in the car and connect without taking the phone out of pocket.
The most awaited thing which everyone wish to come asap. Although many companies are working on this like Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan and many more.
The automatic parking system uses various methods to detect objects around the vehicle. Sensors installed on the front and rear bumpers can act as both a transmitter and a receiver. These sensors emit a signal that will be reflected back when it encounters an obstacle near the vehicle. Then, the carputer will use the time of flight to determine the position of the obstacle. Other systems use cameras, e.g. Omniview technology, or radars to detect obstacles and measure the parking space size and distance from the roadside.
Big giants like Google, Apple, Nissan are working on this technology, driverless cars are amazing. The projects are going on but the issue with this tech is that who is going to take the responsibility of the accidents when a car is driving itself.
Google is testing its own car, Apple is working on it and now Nissan is also working on this and projected to launch the model by 2020. Its an ongoing process, only if the companies achieved the perfection then we are going to see something unbelievable.
Though this kind of systems should be mandatory for all the cars in order to avoid high fuel consumption and accidents. Currently such systems are working and operate well under way, they are designed for detection at a fixed position and the effect on cars under real world conditions is still limited.
