Till today Window 10 will have became known among youth. The
next iteration of Microsoft’s OS to create a unified experience across all
devices that will be inhabited at the end is its main aim. Several preview
builds for computers have already been released through Microsoft and new Window
10 is available for phones you will be highly excited to install this device in
your phone but don’t perspire it. I have got a phone for job a Lumia 630, which
happens to be one of the few compatible devices this time. So let us take a
look what is new and wonderful in it.
The New Stuff
For making user friendly it has been designed partially on
philosophy and rests on idea of cohesive design. The size of screen is not
important. This disposition has had little effect on mobile, at least what we
have already experienced and will not repeat Live Tiles still populate the home
screen like window 8.1. Since then it has proved the best thing about windows
phone especially after the click addition of folder support.
Personalisation
Review of window 10 shows that Live Tiles larger or a huge
square or a vertically oriented rectangle can be made now in people panel. May
be the large files will be able to pump more and different types of content to
your home screen. Cortana Tile can also produce huge square for more news
headlines & notifications.
Slight change in personalization in home screen is also shown
through it. In Window 8.1 the background image remains visible through certain Live
Tiles with black and white board in panel. In Windows 10 image becomes the background
by filling borders around live tiles and peeping through the semi-transparent
images. It is just different and will be introduced in a later build.
The minor change to the hidden app list to the right of home
screen in Window 10 also sits above the new background image alphabetically organized
catalogue is a new section in recently downloaded apps. You can clean
downloaded apps at your will and it helps to track down apps you have just
install. If it comes you want to get rid of it but currently there is no way to
present it now you know the kind you might be it frequently without the need of
dedicated live tile.
Quick Setting & Interactive Notifications
The addition of action centre was the biggest improvement of
Window 8.1. It is like to put down menu you find on Android by selecting the
setting shortcuts above a notification drawer. The problem is having few slots
for setting which are not enough for change but this limitation has been
addressed in Window 10 previously. Now you can access six more quick setting
and also jump into the main setting menu. As only four original slots are open
to customization and I rarely need to engage rotation lock or VPN in my phone
so the new quick setting are useless to me.
Various typed of notifications are become interactive on upgraded
action centre. Now an alarm can be dismissed and direct reply to a text without
notification is possible. We can read notices before it come in notification
drawer you can answer it within the alert itself which is not possible in
E-mail. It would be wonderful to see it on board. Imagine approaching updates,
liking photographs, reply on twitter etc within all form of notification. Less
clicking, less fuss, less time.
In Window 10 you will be able to dismiss a notification in
your desktop and it will disappear from your phone’s action centre too. It
cannot be said that this can be possible to implement in the technical preview for
phones.
Broader Text-to-Speech Support
In Window 10 preview you can speak to almost every text
entry field with the help of little microphone appears above the keyboard. It
even works for text entry fields on websites you can get it work elsewhere
though it is limited to VS users. Microsoft works to improve its virtual
assistant for Window 10. It has limited Cortana to understand English in this
early preview build. Some speech recognition resources are used to power the
broaden speech to text feature it proved that one get around that by tricking
the phone into thinking he was in U.S. We need to change a couple of region and
language settings. (It was said that it was available for English user but not
enabled on 630 when tested).
New settings menu and other core app changes with the
help of redesigning of setting menu, we can track setting down move easily in
Window 10. In Window 8.1 the setting app is an utter mess due to the 50
different category with featureless list but in Window 10 it has been reduced
to in nine sections in most manageable way with express category catching
setting that don’t fit anywhere else.
Due to the little icon and titles one can easily find his required thing.
Microsoft also moved to a smaller, softer font which is fitted into one screen.
No scrolling required but there is confusion if you look for sub menus. Once
you find the specific setting you want to change and something is also faced in
Window 8.1 but settings app will support consistent design in future builds and
became easier to navigate.
The redesigning setting app gives us an idea of simplifying
the parts in Window 10 for phones, photos by using more accessible fonts. For example
keyboard is now smaller than island layout of Window phone 8.1 you have now
scientific and programmer made which can change anything practically.
New Apps and Simplifying Design
Photos is the first app for Window 10 featured in the
preview for phones that’s universal. Meaning it looks and behaves like its
desktop counterpart. In Window 10 the main gallery is populated by on device
images and those stored on one drive it is not completely finished. The little
menu button at the top left hand comes is the most interesting thing it speaks
how Microsoft is simplifying the user experience to keep him focused what is on
the display.
Miscellany
The change that has been noticed is the addition of a
joystick to the keyboard. It is a kind of virtual version of the mouse nub you’ll
find on ThinkPad laptops; it lets you move the cursor in a text, entry field
without having to obscure it with your thumb. It is a simple change.
Missing
Apart from a lot of new changes in Window 10 apps there is a
long list of changes and features is still waiting to be implemented one thing
which is difficult to predict is the impact of universal apps for Window 10. In
theory the developers need to create one thing that will run on everything from
PCs to phones to the XBOX one but they will still need to tailor it for
different hardware configurations and display sizes. So many changes will be
shown by Window 10 but still we aren't sure what part phones will play in the
equation. Obviously a new app is in the works but the only details we really
get from promo footage is that it will keep you better connected with your
programme. It has introduced a brand new learner browser currently code name ‘Project
Spartan’ with Cortana integration and a focus on clipping etc but i.e. for now
is not included.
Windows 10 will combine comms from various services into
single threads but we will have to wait to see what other messaging services
Microsoft can bring into the fold.
Try this at Home
Microsoft warns that unexpected crushing could corrupt or
straight up wipe file, so backing up your data is highly recommended. The
messaging and dialler apps do not include dual SIM support messaging is missing
a number of features so there is plenty of known potentially troublesome bugs.
Now the majority of Lumias running Window 8.1 will be upgraded to the consumer
ready version of Window 10 and take releases of technical preview will support
additional handsets. If you have a device once that list the first thing to do
is register for the Windows Insider Program. Then remain prepared for to keep
the phone to be more or less out of action while it completes the long update
process.
Microsoft is keen for everyone to try out this preview build
as Window 10 preview for phones include a built in feedback app so you can
report bugs and provides other feedback straight from your phone. You can launch the app from
anywhere by pressing button now let us know what you think about it. Have fun!
