Huge variety of laptops are available in the market, now we get many options to choose from. Anonymous brands are their, if we say Mac and Windows then too lot of models are available with different specifications and features. At present I am going to talk about those laptops which are very much in demand and popular for there tech critics.

Apple MacBook Pro With Retina Display

Apple updated the 13-inch/15-inch Retina MacBook Pro with some major improvements, including 5th generation Intel Core processors, Iris 6100 graphics cards, PCIe based flash storage, an extra hour of battery life and faster RAM. The device is not perfect, there are some cons especially with its USB connectivity. But the high resolution display, ample storage and striking graphics makes it one of the popular laptops in the market.

If you use your notebook for any kind of real work, in addition to general browsing and movie watching, the new Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display offers a perfect balance of power and convenience.

Lenovo's IdeaPad Yoga Pro 3 is arguably the best of the 'hybrid' devices, trying to be both a laptop and a tablet. This new model has a 360-degree hinge that allows it to fold back into tablet mode. It has stunning 3200*1800 touch-screen, works on Intel Core M chip which allow it to be 17% thinner than it's predecessor.

  • 3839 MB (shared) Intel HD Graphics 5300
  • 256 GB SSD hard drive

  • Built-in 720p webcam
  • Price: $1149
Pros
  • Thin and light, even for an ultra-portable
  • Versatile design
  • Fast performance
  • Gorgeous display
Cons
  • Relatively short battery life
  • Keyboard is shallower than on previous Yoga machines
  • Touchpad could use some fine-tuning
  • Start button on the bezel doesn't always work, but a fix is coming

The specifications and performance scores sound great, but the real world, hands-n experience is lacking. The battery life is more of a problem, and if Lenovo and Intel can tweak that through BIOS updates or a larger battery than it could become the best selling device.

Microsoft's new Surface Pro 3 can replace both your laptop and tablet. It represents a confident step towards the best possible hybrid device. The device is thinner and lighter than Surface Pro 2, despite having a bigger display. The Surface Pro 3 is Microsoft's biggest, fastest, thinnest, lightest best tablet till yet.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3

Basics
  • 12 inch, 2160*1440 touch screen
  • 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 4300U
  • 8GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
  • 1792 MB (shared) Intel HD Graphics 4400
  • 256GB SSD hard drive

  • Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
  • Price: $799/$1299
Pros
  • Thin and light for a machine with laptop guts
  • Easier to use as a standalone tablet
  • Fast performance
  • Gorgeous, high res display
  • Keyboard can be propped up at a more comfortable angle
Cons
  • Flimsy keyboard is inferior to what you would get on a proper laptop; worse, it doesn't even come in the box
  • Not that comfortable to use in the lap
  • Middling battery life
The Surface Pro 3 is Microsoft's biggest and the best tablet yet, but it needs a better keyboard to truly replace your laptop. Unless you want a tablet and laptop in equal measure and sincerely enjoy using Windows Store Apps, a touchscreen Ultrabook is still your best bet.

Dell's XPS 15 is designed for those who want a high-end experience, whether it's for creative work or serious entertainment.  The device has physical design which is very familiar, it shares its aesthetic with the Precision M3800 mobile workstation, which we praised for its looks and build quality. This is truly a machine that is more beautiful on the inside than the outside.

Dell XPS 15

Basics
  • 15.6 inch, 3200*1800 touch screen
  • 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-4702HQ
  • 16GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz
  • 2GB (dedicated) Nvidia GeForce GT 750M
  • 1TB, 5400rpm hard drive, 32 GB SSD
  • 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0
  • Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
  • Price: $1899
Pros
  • Incredible high resolution screen
  • Fantastic design and built quality
  • Powerful core i7 processor
  • Gamin capable GPU
  • Slimline chassis
Cons
  • Noisy and warm under heavy load
  • Battery Life falls short of MacBook standards
Dell has tried almost everything in this like premium 15-inch , great high res screen, slim, discrete GPU and a powerful CPU. Moreover the price seems pretty fair $1900. But it has some disadvantages too which includes a drab outer design, some funkiness with gaming resolutions, mediocre battery life and twitchy multitouch touch-pad gestures. If you step aside those issues then this is the closest you will find to a current gen MacBook Pro without switching to OS X.

Apple's 13 inch MacBook Air is similar internally to the Pro, although it comes without the latest Intel processor and Retina display. The company has made some significant changes like Broadwell processors, faster flash storage and better graphics and upgrades Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt 2. But the physical design is almost same.

Apple MacBook Air

Basics
  • OS x operating system
  • 13 inch TN LCD with 1440*900 resolution
  • 1.6GHz Intel Core i5
  • Intel HD 6000
  • 4GB (8GB Upgrade)
  • 128/256 GB SSD
  • 802.11ac, USB 3.0(x2), Thunderbolt 2.0, SD
  • 32.5*22.7*1.7cm
  • Weighing 1.35kg
  • 54-watt-hour battery; up to 12 hours wireless web browsing
  • Price: 850 Euro
Pros
  • Excellent battery life
  • Fair performance
  • Still super-slim and light
Cons
  • Design ageing in parts
  • Pretty poor screen
  • Lacks some benefits of latest Pro MacBooks

The New MacBook is slimmer and lighter, but the Air remains pretty skinny, offers superb stamina and if you get the 8GB upgrade, has enough power for some pretty serious on the go duties.
