Both the devices are good but it depends upon you that whether you are able to afford the innovative curved edges and the premium. Which one is good and better than the other, in what terms. Which one you should buy? The major question arise, let's have a look on the differences.
Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, both are from one family. Both have almost identical specs. Let's start:
- Both the devices have 5.1 inch Quad HD display - 1,440*2,560 which is more than Galaxy S5 which has 1,080*1,920.
- Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and another four at 1.5 GHz.
- Camera quality of both the devices is 16 mega pixel with optical image stabilisation on the back, 5 mega pixel on the front.
- The battery life of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is bigger than the Galaxy S6. S6 is the first flagship Samsung phone that has non-removable battery. Samsung has played a trick in this by providing the convenience of fast charging. 10 minutes of charging can make you to use your phone for 3 to 4 hours and the device will get fully charged in just an hour and 20 minutes. For battery its like 2,600mAh vs 2,550mAh, not a big difference but if make a count then it is only 2% bigger.

A white line will used to appear on the top which makes you to access your edge contacts very easily.
- With S6 edge you can use it's edges as notification light when the phone is faced down. Along with this feature you can set different colours for different contacts, it can combine with People Edge mode and set to glow a specific colour when a particular person calls.
- You can display your location, weather information, time/date and battery status on the Galaxy S6 edges.
- The edge is unique and very useful too. It can be double as a bedside clock with Night Clock mode. When your phone remained with only 15% battery, night clock will automatically get disabled.
