Last year we have seen Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge flagships by Samsung and no doubt both the models were awesome in there own way. This week Samsung has launched two new smartphones Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge. If you are ready to upgrade your smartphone then have a look on the two models!!
Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge have some differences and similarities, lets have a look on the aspects. The dimensions of Galaxy S7 is 142mm - 70mm - 7.9mm whereas the size of S7 edge is bigger, it is 151mm - 73mm - 7.7mm. The new S7 edge is 6% taller and 4% wider. If we compare the new Samsung flagship phones with the past ones then these are thicker, I guess the reason is their large batteries.
The build is of glass backs and aluminium frames, its looking nice and elegant with curves on front and back. Like Note 5 the looks are little bit similar to it but still they are upgraded one. These phones are available in Gold, Black and Silver at present. Other color variants may be out in market later. Samsung tried to put the weight light, Galaxy S7 is 152g and S7 edge is only 3% heavier i.e. 157g. Sounds to be handy and relatively better then previous flagships.
If we talk about display then GS7 edge has 16% bigger display, it has 5.5 inch screen and galaxy S7 has 5.1 inch screen. Better resolution has been provided by the company on the small screen, GS7 has 2560*1440*577 ppi resolution, S7 edge has 2560*1440*534 ppi . If you will see galaxy S6 flagship then you will find the resolution same or may be smaller. As expected you will get Super Amoled display panel from the Samsung.
Standard GS7 don't have curve display but on the other hand GS7 edge has curve sloping back on the sides of the display. The new feature is that the screen will work like a smartwatch and you are able to get the notifications on the dimmed screen all the time. Samsung has provided the superb touch based fingerprint sensor on the home buttons. High processor has been provided i.e. Snapdragon 820* 64 bit quad core 2.15 GHz, in US, China & Japan we used to get this. In other countries Octa Core Exynos 8990 will be provided in GS7 & GS7 edge.
Both the phones have 4GB of RAM, phones are available with additional 64 GB and 128 GB variants internationally. Samsung has brought back microSD feature again. Batteries are large then the previous models, standard GS7 has 3000mAh battery on the other hand GS7 edge has 3600mAh battery life. Batteries are not removable, this feature company is not planning to bring back. Phones have the fast charging built-in tech. Your device is going to juice up a bit early.
Wireless charging is available with both the models, buy Samsung special charging pad. Camera megapixels are same, 12 megapixel lower resolution rear cameras and 5 megapixel front facing. GS7 series have f/1.7 aperture wider one as compared to the last flagships. In-built Optical Image Stabilization feature is their in both the phones. Both the new handsets are compatible with the consumer Gear VR and if you pre order your phone then you will get your own free.
