The dates and venue have been announced of the world's largest electronics and technology event's CES 2016. The Consumer Electronics Show is the world's largest gathering of the leaders of consumer electronics. The show was first held in 1967 in New York City, and it continuous strong to the present day.
The dates of the show announced i.e. January 6, 2016 and end on January 9, 2016. Again the host will be Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be split between the Las Vegas Convention Center, The Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and the Sands Expo & Convention Center; same layout as the 2015 event.
If you do not want to wait till 2016 then you can go to China for International CES Asia, which is going to be held on May 25th - 27th, 2015, in Shanghai. The convention will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. On May 24th, the Chairman of Audi AG "Rupert Stadler" will deliver a preshow keynote. Technology changes with the time, more fast then we could expect. Predicting future gadgets is not easy, but still many companies are talking about CES 2016 - what unexpected we will see. In CES 2015 we saw some of the devices which made huge waves and companies got good response too.
If we look at LG Flex 2, revealed in CES 2015 and got good response. For this may be reason was that LG was the only large company to release a new flagship device. We can guess that in Vegas also the company is going to reveal some good smartphones.
Some of the tablets also got some space in CES like Dell Venue 8 7000, Lenovo's Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen. So may be this time also both the companies will come up with some new tablets with new technology.
Samsung announced Galaxy S6 in MWC 2015, so may be The Samsung Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy Note 5. The company likes to push tablets too so we can expect some more models in slate line series next year.
More new wearables like The Apple Watch , Microsoft Band , Pebble Steel, Pebble Time or many more. Samsung may unveil some new devices/wearables at CES like it has surprised everyone with the new Orbis - rumoured smartwatch.
How can we forget about VR's, TV's and laptops. Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Vive, already capturing the market, some new upgraded devices like them to be in CES 2016.
If we are talking about CES its not possible we won't talk about TV's. Heard about LG 77eg9900 4K Flexible OLED TV, which is not yet released. 2015 was all about Quantum Dots, like the LG UF9400, and Samsung's JS9500 SUHD 4K TV. Hope to get more bendy sets in 2016, and probably at a lower price.
CES 2016 will be the time for TV services and streaming boxes to shine. Already many streaming devices are there in the market like - Sling TV, Amazon, Fire TV, Razer Forge TV, Nvidia Shield, and HBO Now, Google Chromecast just a few names.
Laptops also show up in CES. In 2015 we saw light as feather laptops like Dell XPS 13, Lenovo's LaVie Z, new MacBook. The buzz over USB-C port is sure to reset the market in different way. There may be new portable PC's making debuts with fewer ports or maybe not. Thin - is to be in trend and which is going to be race in future that who will win against the other lightweights.
