LG Unveiled G4 Smartphone
We are hearing about G4 Smartphone from past many weeks and many things about the phone has been leaked or revealed by LG before. In an event held in New York city, LG revealed its new flagship smartphone The G4. The phone will be a big competitor to Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 when it will hits shelves. The phone has luxury looks and after seeing the snaps its clear that LG has focused on design, display and imaging (camera). Let's have a look on its features and specifications:-
- The phone has 16 mega pixel rear camera with an F1.8 lens aperture. If the aperture number is low the greater will be the lens area. So the G4 has F1.8 aperture in comparison to iPhone 6 & HTC One M9 they have F2.2 aperture.
- G4 comes with color spectrum sensors which recognizes the light as well as objects. This feature no other phone camera has, claimed by the LG.
- Two modes are there: automatic and manual. With the manual modes user is able to control white balance, exposure and shutter speed.
- On the back of the phone a button is there known as Quick Shot, it allow user to take a quick picture by double tapping.
- 8 mega pixel front-facing selfie camera it has. In phone snaps can be stored in raw format or JPEG form. MicroSD port allows for media with larger image file sizes.
- The company tries to give the phone a premium look by putting leather on the back. This feature is giving a rustic and authentic look to phone. If you don't like the leather look then there is option of plastic-backed phones available in silver, bronze and white.
- LG introduced a new display known as IPS quantum display, which will improves the color by 20%, brightness by 25% and contrast by 50%.
- G4 has 3,000mAh removable battery. A special graphic RAM feature is there which puts CPU to sleep when displaying a still frame.
- The phone runs on Snapdragon 808 chip instead of Snapdragon 810. The reason of choosing it is 808 runs cooler.
- G4 owners will get an extra 100 gigabytes of free storage on Google Drive for two years.
- LG has partnered with Volkswagen so that the user interface of G4 will be mirrored in the car's front display.
- It has 5.5 inch IPS Quad HD (2560*1440 pixels) Quantum Display
- G4 includes connectivity options of 4G / LTE / HSPS+ 21 Mbps (3G), Wi-Fi 802.11 a,b,g,n,ac / Bluetooth 4.1LE and NFC.
- Human centric UX 4.0 with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
- 32 GB storage, 3GB RAM
There is no announcement done by the LG on the price and the availability of the G4. But as per the news came before by the LG the phone has already hit pre-order for Korean customers and is being offered for 825 USD which is higher than Samsung Galaxy S6 but cheaper than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
LG G4 pre-orders open up in UK, unlockedmobiles.com lists three colours - metallic grey and gold for 499.87 pounds and black leather option for 529.87 pounds. On Amazon and Expansys go it is available for 599.00 pounds.
